PATERSON, N.J. – While many New Jersey residents look forward to barbeques and backyards this Fourth of July, the anniversary of our Nation’s independence reminds Liberty Elevator Corporation of its historic contribution to Lady Liberty’s restoration.

July 4, 1986 marked the completion of the Statue of Liberty’s renovation. Liberty Elevator, then National Elevator, played an integral role in the project. After bidding against international competitors, the local Paterson company was awarded the prestigious honor of designing and installing a state of the art vertical transportation system.
